MusicReleaseTracker

Never miss a new song or album again. No accounts needed.

Stay on top

I needed a better way to keep track of new music from my favourite artists. Streaming services and their recommendation algorithms often miss things. Thankfully, there are websites that have just the information I need. I built this tool to collect the information from these sources. Custom processing (deduplication, merging, formatting...) creates a simple overview of the latest singles and albums. Currently supported sources are Beatport, Musicbrainz, Bandcamp and Youtube.

You can choose exactly which sources to use, and which artists you want to track. To get the latest information, press the refresh button and MusicReleaseTracker will visit all the sources one by one. Combining more sources means that you are less likely to miss anything. Unlike Spotify or Apple Music recommendations, MRT shows a chronological list of newly released songs from artists you select. I'm fairly certain this is the most reliable tool to avoid missing any song or album released online. Best of all, you don’t need any accounts to use it.

Free and open source

The tool is free, runs locally on your computer, and the source code is public. It’s available for Windows, Linux, and macOS. For more information, support, or your feedback, visit the repository:
